Let me guess...

You’re a woman who’s been through life’s ups and downs. You’re longing for more but worry that it might be too late to change—and alcohol isn’t helping.

I get it, because I’ve been there.

Life had thrown me lots of curveballs...

Widowed, divorced, remarried and now in my 60’s I longed for an “easy, purposeful” life, but I knew alcohol wasn’t helping.

I didn’t have a “rock bottom” moment.

No DUIs, no daily excess, no life-shattering incidents. But I did have a nagging “knowing” that my drinking was slowly harming me. What started as one glass of red wine on a Friday night grew to five or six and “occasional” drinks were showing up on weeknights, too.

Over time, I began feeling the effects. I’d wake up at 2 or 3 a.m., anxious and unable to sleep. Anxiety gnawed at me. I’d wonder how my wine consumption was damaging my body and my brain. I worried about whether I’d have the energy to keep going or if one day, I’d receive a diagnosis that couldn’t be undone.

So, I did what many of us do—I turned to the internet.

That’s when I came across the book This Naked Mind by Annie Grace, and it completely shifted my perspective. It broke down how alcohol affects our minds and how we are influenced by cultural norms, social pressures, and clever marketing that keep us stuck.

I started to get curious about my relationship with alcohol and began to challenge the stories I’d been telling myself for years. Bit by bit, things shifted. The urge to drink faded, and in its place came a sense of freedom I hadn’t felt in ages.

These days, alcohol doesn’t even cross my mind.

That’s what true freedom feels like—living without the weight, the worry, and the lies.

Now, as a certified Life and Alcohol-Free Coach, I help other women do the same—to break free, rediscover themselves, and create lives filled with joy and purpose.
